Quiz Night - 15 March 2008
We will be hosting a Quiz Night at our new "Club House" located at Tehtaankatu 3, Helsinki on Saturday 15th March, 6 p.m.
Great quiz prizes to be won! Entrance fee 5€ per team. Refreshments will be available.
Social Evening - Scoring and Table Tennis - 29 March 2008
Brush up on your scoring (beginners and improvers) and your ping pong skills. We will be hosting a short informal scoring evening followed by the Empire C.C. Table Tennis Tournament at Tehtaankatu 3, Helsinki on Saturday 29th March, 6 p.m. Entrance is free. MAP - Table tennis doubles entry fee is 5€ per team, winner takes 50% of entry fees. Plenty of refreshments will be available.
Estonia - Tallin Cricket Weekend - 11th-13th July 2008
Trip to Estonia in July time to play the Estonian National Team The Baltics and watch the First Test - England v South Africa in local PUB. Both T20 and a 30 over games will most likely figure in the weekend programme. More details about travel and accommodation arrangements to follow...Sign up on the forum.
Club Dinner - A club dinner will be arranged at the Club House at Tehtaankatu 3 later in the season. Date to be arranged
Empire Cup - End of season intra club match (to be confirmed)
We will of course arrange the traditional end of season Captain's XI v Vice Captain's XI Empire Cup social match. Hopefully we will include a BBQ this year. Let's hope we get some good weather for that! Exact date to be confirmed.
Friendly Matches - Our Friendly XI The Empiricists are always happy to play other local teams in friendly matches throughout the season.
